Gosh it's February already and I am way behind updating my blog. I meant to write just after Christmas then things happened and I never found the time to get stuck in! Time just seems to slip by so quickly and more so when you get older!
Still here I am and I would like to wish you all a very belated happy New Year. That said, I will turn
75 this year and... um... well I just cannot find the answer as to where all the last 74 years have gone! Still I am blessed that I am still here to tell the tale (have I mentioned this before somewhere in this blog...). And, I have my darling grandsons who light up my life big time.
Talking about grandsons, my son rang me this morning still full of cold which he developed over the past few days, and he sounded dreadful. His wife works weekends so he has the job of looking after their four sons. When I left him yesterday afternoon after he returned home from work, he looked under the weather. I told him he had nothing to do because I had done all the bits and pieces so he could chill pill and relax. Relax he did not, the 16 year old was very late home, and just before that the 11 year old put some pot noodles in the micro and they exploded, hence a massive micro clean up job in between sneezing, blowing of the nose and telling off the 16 year old! My thoughts were, I was glad I was at home at the time!
So, what am I going to do this year, that will get my taste buds biting into something exciting? I bought a cutting machine and will try my hand at card making, it looks easy peasy, but I bet there is more to it than sticking a few embellishments on to a piece of card. But, I am up for the challenge and will give it a whirl and see what I can create. And, it will pass the time when the miserable end of winter days hang around longer than they should dark and gloomy. I just cannot wait for spring to dawn, and push the damp and cold into a draw somewhere until next winter.
I will try to keep up with my blog in the coming months, and will put a few of my cards on here (all depending how they turn out...).
Stay safe everyone, and look after yourselves!
Jan
